Using, colored pencils, I amalgamate phenomena ordinarily not found together into images that may serve to simplify what some otherwise might consider nebulous philosophical ideologies. Many of the drawings can be visually disconcerting, as I choose not to soften the impact of my subjects by placing them in either a cozy surreal setting or otherwise natural landscape.
Instead, I portray the duality of all relationships by drawing two-dimensional forms in abstract one-dimensional backgrounds, providing thought-provoking realms for many recognizable and sometimes unseen things to dwell in. Familiar objects such as fossils, insects, and even firearms often inhabit my picture planes for the sole purpose of cautioning people that their actions have ramifications reaching far beyond themselves.
